INAV Blackbox, logging and stats: CLI settings
Blackbox device and logging rate, arming control of the log, debug logging topics, and the flight statistics INAV keeps across flights.
12 settings in INAV 9.1.
Each range and value list is read from the release's src/main/fc/settings.yaml, each default from
the release's settings.yaml, with each constant and C type resolved by INAV's own settings.rb against the SITL and flight-controller target headers, so a board's own config can still change it. Set one with set name = value, then save.
Paste a diff all into the CLI checker to test it against any release.
| Setting | Type | Range or values | Default | 8.0 | 9.0 | 9.1 | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
blackbox_arm_control # |
int8 global |
-1 to 60 | 0needs USE_BLACKBOX |
— | ✓ | ✓ | Determines behaviour of logging in relation to Arm state. For settings from 0 to 60 logging will start on Arm with the setting determining how long logging will continue after disarm in seconds, i.e. set to 0 to stop logging at disarm or 10 to stop logging 10s after disarm. Set to -1 to start logging from boot up until power off (Use with caution - mainly for debugging and best used with BLACKBOX mode). |
blackbox_device # |
uint8 global |
SERIAL, SPIFLASH, SDCARD, FILE | set by the targetneeds USE_BLACKBOX |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | Selection of where to write blackbox data |
blackbox_rate_denom # |
uint16 global |
1 to 65535 | 1needs USE_BLACKBOX |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | Blackbox logging rate denominator. See blackbox_rate_num. |
blackbox_rate_num # |
uint16 global |
1 to 65535 | 1needs USE_BLACKBOX |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | Blackbox logging rate numerator. Use num/denom settings to decide if a frame should be logged, allowing control of the portion of logged loop iterations |
log_level # |
uint8 global |
ERROR, WARNING, INFO, VERBOSE, DEBUG | ERRORneeds USE_LOG |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | Defines serial debugging log level. See `docs/development/serial_printf_debugging.md` for usage. |
log_topics # |
uint32 global |
0 to 4294967295 | 0needs USE_LOG |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | Defines serial debugging log topic. See `docs/development/serial_printf_debugging.md` for usage. |
sdcard_detect_inverted # |
uint8 global |
OFF, ON | set by the targetneeds USE_BLACKBOX, USE_SDCARD |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | This setting drives the way SD card is detected in card slot. On some targets (AnyFC F7 clone) different card slot was used and depending of hardware revision ON or OFF setting might be required. If card is not detected, change this value. |
stats # |
uint8 global |
OFF, ON | OFFneeds USE_STATS |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | General switch of the statistics recording feature (a.k.a. odometer) |
stats_flight_count # |
uint16 global |
0 to 65535 | 0needs USE_STATS |
— | ✓ | ✓ | Total number of flights. The value is updated on every disarm when "stats" are enabled. |
stats_total_dist # |
uint32 global |
0 to 2147483647 | 0needs USE_STATS |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | Total flight distance [in meters]. The value is updated on every disarm when "stats" are enabled. |
stats_total_energy # |
uint32 global |
0 to 2147483647 | 0needs USE_STATS, USE_ADC |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | Total energy consumption [in mWh]. The value is updated on every disarm when "stats" are enabled. |
stats_total_time # |
uint32 global |
0 to 2147483647 | 0needs USE_STATS |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | Total flight time [in seconds]. The value is updated on every disarm when "stats" are enabled. |

“needs USE_…” is the build option the setting is compiled with: a target that does not define it has no such setting.Descriptions are INAV's own, from settings.yaml.
