INAV Video transmitter: CLI settings
VTX band, channel, power and pit mode, the low-power-on-disarm option, maximum power override and the SmartAudio and Tramp serial workarounds.
12 settings in INAV 9.1.
Each range and value list is read from the release's src/main/fc/settings.yaml, each default from
the release's settings.yaml, with each constant and C type resolved by INAV's own settings.rb against the SITL and flight-controller target headers, so a board's own config can still change it. Set one with set name = value, then save.
Paste a diff all into the CLI checker to test it against any release.
| Setting | Type | Range or values | Default | 8.0 | 9.0 | 9.1 | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
vtx_band # |
uint8 global |
1 to 5 | 1needs USE_VTX_SMARTAUDIO || USE_VTX_TRAMP |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | Configure the VTX band. Bands: 1: A, 2: B, 3: E, 4: F, 5: Race. |
vtx_channel # |
uint8 global |
1 to 8 | 1needs USE_VTX_SMARTAUDIO || USE_VTX_TRAMP |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | Channel to use within the configured `vtx_band`. Valid values are [1, 8]. |
vtx_frequency_group # |
uint8 global |
FREQUENCYGROUP_5G8, FREQUENCYGROUP_2G4, FREQUENCYGROUP_1G3 | FREQUENCYGROUP_5G8needs USE_VTX_SMARTAUDIO || USE_VTX_TRAMP |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | VTx Frequency group to use. Frequency groups: FREQUENCYGROUP_5G8: 5.8GHz, FREQUENCYGROUP_2G4: 2.4GHz, FREQUENCYGROUP_1G3: 1.3GHz. |
vtx_halfduplex # |
uint8 global |
OFF, ON | ONneeds USE_VTX_CONTROL |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | Use half duplex UART to communicate with the VTX, using only a TX pin in the FC. |
vtx_low_power_disarm # |
uint8 global |
OFF, ON, UNTIL_FIRST_ARM | OFFneeds USE_VTX_SMARTAUDIO || USE_VTX_TRAMP |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | When the craft is disarmed, set the VTX to its lowest power. `ON` will set the power to its minimum value on startup, increase it to `vtx_power` when arming and change it back to its lowest setting after disarming. `UNTIL_FIRST_ARM` will start with minimum power, but once the craft is armed it will increase to `vtx_power` and it will never decrease until the craft is power cycled. |
vtx_max_power_override # |
uint16 global |
0 to 10000 | 0needs USE_VTX_SMARTAUDIO || USE_VTX_TRAMP |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | Some VTXes may report max power incorrectly (i.e. 200mW for a 600mW VTX). Use this to override max supported power. 0 to disable and use whatever VTX reports as its capabilities |
vtx_pit_mode_chan # |
uint16 global |
1 to 8 | 1needs USE_VTX_SMARTAUDIO || USE_VTX_TRAMP |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | Pit mode channel. |
vtx_power # |
uint8 global |
0 to 8 | 1needs USE_VTX_SMARTAUDIO || USE_VTX_TRAMP |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | VTX RF power level to use. The exact number of mw depends on the VTX hardware. |
vtx_smartaudio_alternate_softserial_method # |
uint8 global |
OFF, ON | ONneeds USE_VTX_CONTROL |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | Enable the alternate softserial method. This is the method used in INAV 3.0 and ealier. |
vtx_smartaudio_early_akk_workaround # |
uint8 global |
OFF, ON | ONneeds USE_VTX_CONTROL |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | Enable workaround for early AKK SAudio-enabled VTX bug. |
vtx_smartaudio_stopbits # |
uint8 global |
1 to 2 | 2needs USE_VTX_CONTROL |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | Set stopbit count for serial (TBS Sixty9 SmartAudio 2.1 require value of 1 bit) |
vtx_softserial_shortstop # |
uint8 global |
OFF, ON | OFFneeds USE_VTX_CONTROL |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | Enable the 3x shorter stopbit on softserial. Need for some IRC Tramp VTXes. |
✓ present, Δ changed in that release (hover for what changed), — not in that release.
“needs USE_…” is the build option the setting is compiled with: a target that does not define it has no such setting.Descriptions are INAV's own, from settings.yaml.
