INAV GPS: CLI settings
GPS protocol, baud detection, the u-blox constellations (Galileo, BeiDou, GLONASS), SBAS, navigation rate, dynamic model and the minimum satellite count for a fix.
11 settings in INAV 9.1.
Each range and value list is read from the release's src/main/fc/settings.yaml, each default from
the release's settings.yaml, with each constant and C type resolved by INAV's own settings.rb against the SITL and flight-controller target headers, so a board's own config can still change it. Set one with set name = value, then save.
Paste a diff all into the CLI checker to test it against any release.
| Setting | Type | Range or values | Default | 8.0 | 9.0 | 9.1 | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
gps_auto_baud # |
uint8 global |
OFF, ON | ONneeds USE_GPS |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | Automatic configuration of GPS baudrate(The specified baudrate in configured in ports will be used) when used with UBLOX GPS |
gps_auto_baud_max_supported # |
uint8 global |
115200, 57600, 38400, 19200, 9600, 230400, 460800, 921600 | 230400needs USE_GPS |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | Max baudrate supported by GPS unit. This is used during autobaud. M8 supports up to 460400, M10 supports up to 921600 and 230400 is the value used before INAV 7.0 |
gps_auto_config # |
uint8 global |
OFF, ON | ONneeds USE_GPS |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | Enable automatic configuration of UBlox GPS receivers. |
gps_dyn_model # |
uint8 global |
PEDESTRIAN, AUTOMOTIVE, AIR_1G, AIR_2G, AIR_4G, SEA, MOWER | AIR_2Gneeds USE_GPS |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | GPS navigation model: Pedestrian, Automotive, Air<1g, Air<2g, Air<4g. Default is AIR_2G. Use pedestrian/Automotive with caution, can cause flyaways with fast flying. |
gps_min_sats # |
uint8 global |
5 to 10 | 6needs USE_GPS |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | Minimum number of GPS satellites in view to acquire GPS_FIX and consider GPS position valid. Some GPS receivers appeared to be very inaccurate with low satellite count. |
gps_provider # |
uint8 global |
UBLOX, MSP, FAKE | UBLOXneeds USE_GPS |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | Which GPS protocol to be used. |
gps_sbas_mode # |
uint8 global |
AUTO, EGNOS, WAAS, MSAS, GAGAN, SPAN, NONE | NONEneeds USE_GPS |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | Which SBAS mode to be used |
gps_ublox_nav_hz # |
uint8 global |
5 to 200 | 8needs USE_GPS |
✓ | ✓ | Δ | Navigation update rate for UBLOX receivers. M9 modules limit satellite tracking to 16 satellites at 10Hz or higher, but use 32 satellites below 10Hz for better accuracy. M10 modules work well at 8Hz with 3 constellations. Some M10 devices with high-performance clock can do up to 25Hz with 4 constellations. 8Hz is a safe, accurate default for M8/M9/M10. 9.1: default 10 → 8 |
gps_ublox_use_beidou # |
uint8 global |
OFF, ON | ONneeds USE_GPS |
✓ | ✓ | Δ | Enable use of Beidou satellites. This is at the expense of other regional constellations, so benefit may also be regional. Requires gps hardware support [OFF/ON]. 9.1: default OFF → ON |
gps_ublox_use_galileo # |
uint8 global |
OFF, ON | ONneeds USE_GPS |
✓ | ✓ | Δ | Enable use of Galileo satellites. This is at the expense of other regional constellations, so benefit may also be regional. Requires M8N and Ublox firmware 3.x (or later) [OFF/ON]. 9.1: default OFF → ON |
gps_ublox_use_glonass # |
uint8 global |
OFF, ON | OFFneeds USE_GPS |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ | Enable use of Glonass satellites. This is at the expense of other regional constellations, so benefit may also be regional. Requires gps haardware support [OFF/ON]. |

“needs USE_…” is the build option the setting is compiled with: a target that does not define it has no such setting.Descriptions are INAV's own, from settings.yaml.
